Our first stay here, we’ll be back. Spacious clean comfortable for all 8. Beautiful surroundings and in a favorite spot on the river. Loved the porch. Rustic decor nice. Beds comfy. Well equipped kitchen. Had a great time with a big group. Will try the anniversary suite next trip for husband and I. Looked like a great cabin for a December getaway.
My wife and I booked the Woodcreek Cabin for an anniversary trip. She asked for a secluded cabin in the woods with a hot tub. I wanted a place to fly fish. Chris and Carol offered the perfect place for both. The cabin was perfectly clean and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy a romantic weekend. The bed was so comfortable, the cabin was warm and had everything we needed to cook a few meals during our stay. We woke up late, read on the back porch by the chiminea and listened to the snow melt around us. We fished for half a day with Chris and had the best fly fishing experience we’ve ever had. I have fished the White River area several times, but never caught the quality of fish we did with Chris. My wife had never even held a fly rod before, but Chris had her confidently fishing after a short fifteen minute lesson. He picked a perfect strategy for what she could do on the water, and she hooked up and landed her first rainbows ever on a fly. One took over five minutes to land and Chris talked her all the way through the process. She was thrilled. I was able to catch and land the biggest rainbow I’ve ever caught. We also had dinner around the corner from the resort at PJ’s. It was exceptional. The whole experience was just outstanding. We highly recommend it!
“Our stay at the Riverfront house was marvelous!”

The place suits our needs of relaxation and rejuvenation. We brought our Guest here and she exclaimed that the place has this sense of serenity. My husband and I love the lake for we can see it from the 2 bedrooms, dining, living room and from the patio deck. This place is handicap accessible and worked out really great for my husband. If you’re not up to cooking because you’re there to relax, there’s an upscale restaurant nearby. There are a lot of things you can do if you’re up to exploring the area. Canoeing would have been an addition to our stay but the weather didn’t permit. All in all, our stay was “stupendous!” Owner’s comment: To clarify the view is of the White River, not a lake.
“Trout’s End was a great getaway!”

The cabin was well furnished, very clean, had a well stocked kitchen and a very nice porch to sit on. The property gives you access to a good stretch of the river where we rarely saw another boat and no other wading fishermen. We fished with Chris one afternoon. He is a great guide and very pleasant person to share a boat with.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was beautiful and extremely clean, with various little touches that made the stay fun. Chris is an excellent trout guide, and my family and I genuinely enjoyed his company on the river. We’re already planning our next trip there!
Thanks again for a great trip. The fishing and accommodations were top notch. Being in corporate sales, I have taken my customers on many fishing expeditions to all parts of the US and Canada. You are one of the best fishing guides I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with. This was my first fly fishing experience and words cannot begin to express how much fun we all had! “Cabin spotless, quiet & had absolutely everything! Nice enough for a honeymoon! (if your guy’s 2nd love is fishing)”

Lovely setting near confluence of North Forth and White River for world-class trout hunt. Owner guide Chris Jackson took us out in jon boat for the day, provided 6 or so fly rods with his own hand-tied flies, an exceptional knowledge of whole area tail-water system and the most patience that one could imagine for 2 beginner fly-fishermen. We’re going to practice our roll cast and double-haul and go back soon.
“Perfect family retreat.”

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience at this resort. We expected a good fishing trip but we got so much more. The quiet location, the privacy and comfort of the cabin, exceeded our expectations. Chris and Carol have found a way to cater to the needs of the fishermen while providing a retreat experience for the non-sportsmen as well. Chris saw to a fun day of fishing for the guys, then a relaxing canoe/kayak excursion for all of us. Our family also enjoyed the opportunity to cook meals and relax together. To watch the sun come over the hills with coffee on the front porch then relax in the evenings on the back porch with the chiminea and hot tub! Wow! Not the typical “fishing camp”!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Retreat. Woodcreek cabin was perfect! Clean and with everything we needed. A highlight was fishing with Chris. We were novices and he was patient, so knowledgeable, and very professional. And he looooovves fishing ….which shows! It was fun to learn from someone who loves it so much. We will definitely be back.
