We are located 8 minutes south of Norfork, Arkansas close to the Red’s Landing public access on the White River. Our resort is 3/10ths of a mile off the pavement, down a private gravel lane.

North Fork River Rainbow TroutNorfork River TroutWhat makes us different:

  • We built the place to accommodate families, to make Mom comfortable, and children safe.
  • Much higher level of privacy than you’ll find at other resorts.
  • A quiet place where the lodging is not all crammed together and where campers & RV’s are not set up in your side yard (We don’t mind campers, we just don’t want you to feel crowded.)
  • Cabins with hot tubs, porch fireplaces and central heat and air conditioning.
  • Lodge with a private bathroom in every bedroom and central heat and air conditioning.
  • Two excellent restaurants just minutes away, and we’ll make your reservations for you.
  • Staying at a place that provides those “personal touches” .  They’re secrets, you’ll have to ask!
  • Having a Guide/Owner provide fishing tips, or fly casting lessons at no charge.
  • A naturally beautiful section of the White River that isn’t lined with resorts, docks and houses.

The river is about 200 feet from the back deck.

The White River Lodge

6 bedrooms, 6 baths OR  3 bedrooms, 3 baths ~ Our Lodge will sleep from 3 to 20 in comfort!

No PetsTripAdvisor reviews for the Lodge, and more reviews here

Our White River Lodge for groups is unique in that it has a private bathroom for each bedroom. Many groups that have stayed with us tell us that the private bath was an important point in their decision making  process. You can take half of the Lodge (one suite), or the whole thing (both suites).   This feature makes it very affordable  for smaller groups of 12 or less.
The White River sits 200 yards in front of the Lodge. See the aerial photo below. In front off the Lodge are 2 acres of open mowed grass. It offers a great place to play horseshoes, washers, badminton, yard golf, or just toss a football around.
The Lodge is split into two sides, in a “Suite” configuration. The two suites maybe connected by opening adjoining doors if you so desire. There are no common areas except the front porch if you are only staying in one suite. You will not share any indoor space with suite neighbors. Each suite has three bedrooms, each bedroom has a private bathroom, a completely furnished kitchen with full sized appliances, dining area and living area.. Both suites have a dining table for 6 – 8.  BBQ grills are just off the front porch. Of course all towels and linens are furnished.
You’ll find a WiFi internet connection, TV with basic satellite reception and dvd. We have River Jon boats with 20hp outboards, and guided fishing services are on site. Grocery stores, ATM, and restaurants are close by. You can see more restaurant info on our “Things to do” page.

We have named the suites Meadow View and Trout’s End. Each suite is nearly identical in the common areas with the exception of décor. They do vary in the way we have set up the number of beds.

Meadow View will sleep 12.  All 3 bedrooms have one queen and two twins bunked.

Trout’s End will sleep 8.  Two bedrooms have one queen. The third bedroom has 4 twins bunked.

Inside each bedroom you have a full sized private bathroom with a tub/shower unit and toilet. Just outside the bathroom door is a single sink vanity. There is a small open closet space for hanging clothes in the corner behind the door. Each bedroom has a antique dresser or chest of drawers.

We offer our guests the use of our two canoes and two kayaks FREE of charge for one float trip during your stay.  You need to read our Canoe/Kayak free rental policy, jump to that info here.

Holiday Minimums – Warm weather Holiday weekends require a three night stay, no exceptions.

No smoking inside.

No Pets. We love animals too, but there are quite a few people who prefer places where pets haven’t stayed.

Check in time – 3:00 PM (If you would like to check in early let us know and we will accommodate you if it is at all possible.)

Check out time – 11:00 AM

Reservation Deposit – A deposit of 50% and a credit card number is required to guarantee all reservations.

Our satisfaction Guarantee. If you arrive and something has been misrepresented within this website, we will fully refund your deposit and you have no obligation to stay with us.

Free canoe/kayak rental day policy.  We offer our guests the use of our two canoes and two kayaks FREE of charge for one float trip during your stay.  It is best if you can shuttle the boats and vehicles yourselves. If you shuttle yourselves then obviously there is no shuttle fee.  We will make every effort to be available to assist with your shuttle if you cannot handle it. We have only one vehicle to perform shuttle service with the ability to haul 5 people and pull a trailer with the canoes/kayaks. If that vehicle is being used for a guided fishing trip or other business we will NOT be able to perform anything but a shuttle of your vehicle. If we ride with you to the put-in location and shuttle your vehicle to the take-out location, it’s a $25 charge. If we and the 4Runner are available  to shuttle your vehicle and the canoes/kayaks, the charge is $40. Please check the availability for the dates you want when making your reservations.  Reservations are made to hold the boats on a first come basis.   We are just a small family run business, and we can’t clean cabins, do guided fishing trips and boat rentals and always be available to perform canoe/kayak shuttles. We apologize but our being available for your shuttle service cannot be guaranteed.

Please read our cancellation policy below. I know it sounds a little strict, but we’ve learned some folks make reservations without much thought or planning and then cancel. We hold you responsible all reservations , but if you book a guided fishing  trip or boat rental and the weather or river conditions are unsafe, we don’t hold you responsible for those bookings, and that policy is generally more forgiving than most resorts in the area.

Cancellation or Early Departure Policy – Because we do not have the road visibility that hotels do, we rely heavily on your commitment to the dates you reserve. Once you give us a deposit, we begin turning other potential customers away.

  • We don’t want anyone to have to travel in  hazardous conditions, if the Highway Patrol for a state you must travel through issues a * ”hazardous driving conditions exist” warning, we will NOT hold you accountable for your reservation. This may or may not be the case for a departure, but we want you safe and we will look at each case individually.
  • Any cancellations or changes may be made up until 30 days prior to arrival and we will return your deposit, less a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival, if we can re-book your reservations we will refund your deposit, less a $25 cancellation fee.
  • If cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival, and we cannot re-book your reservations, you will forfeit your deposit.
  • Reservations booked 30 or fewer days before arrival will have 24 hours to make any change or cancellation.
  • No shows or early departures due to inclement (see first bullet above*)weather will be charged for all reservations.

Damages – We hope you will leave our accommodations just as you found them. All other rentals should be returned in the same condition that you received them. The guest who made the reservations is ultimately responsible for any damages found during or after your stay. Should we find any damages, we will contact you and your credit card will be charged accordingly.
